The in the south of the Steinhuder Meeres situated villages, belong to the town of Wunstorf.
With its multitude of restored half-timbered houses, Wunstorf conserved its medieval city center.
The towns cultural centre is the from the 15.century deriving and thoroughly renovated abbey. This is the place for cultural and political events and also for the local library.
